This is ADCES's annual update on reimbursement issues and changes for 2026 for diabetes care and education specialists that may impact DSMT, MNT, and DPP. We'll review the Final CMS CY 2026 payment rule.
Learning Outcome
The diabetes care team will report increased knowledge of how to maintain appropriate reimbursement for DSMT and/or DPP programs and understand reimbursement changes for 2026 to maintain their diabetes self-management education and diabetes prevention programs.

1. Discuss Medicare changes in 2026 impacting DSMT, MNT, DPP and other diabetes related services (i.e. CGM, RPM, office visits, telehealth update)
2. Describe essential coding and coverage criteria for DSMT
3. Explain additional revenue opportunities for DSMT programs
